Here are some important things you can provide, which will enable us to give you our best possible performance:
1.) When you are going to bring in live entertainment (magicians, dancers, singers, bands, deejays, comedians, jugglers, ventriloquists, mariachis, etc.), you should arrange for a LARGE, PRIVATE room.
2.) Make sure we have access to working electrical outlets near the performance area.
3.) Please provide a location with a solid, level floor surface which will allow our props to roll freely.
4.) The audience must be in front of the performance area—not beside, behind or above it. Some of the best magic cannot be performed surrounded.
5.) If possible, please provide a suitable stage (often available through the venue). The better the audience can see, the more they will enjoy the show! There should be several feet of space between the audience and the stage. Please confer with us regarding staging. (A stage is desirable, but not mandatory.)
6.) We must have adequate room. THE MORE SPACE—THE BETTER! An illusion show requires a large, unobstructed, carefully-selected performance area, usually along a wall. Insufficient space is the most common problem we encounter when performing for special events. Don’t sabotage your event by cramming your guests and a show into a room that is too small!
Vertical Clearance:
For the smoothest performance, we require at least nine feet of space between the stage floor and the ceiling (or aerial obstacles such as light fixtures). However, we can work with less vertical space if necessary.
Balloon placement:
Ill-placed balloons can make it difficult for your guests to see the entertainment! Helium balloons tied to chair backs or table weights almost always obstruct the audience’s view. Balloon arches and columns framing the performance area (stage) also block the audience’s view, and they take up critical performance space. If you choose to decorate with balloons, please keep them out of the performance area, and avoid spoiling your guests’ fun by blocking their view with poorly-placed balloons (or other décor). |

If you are already committed to a room which is too small for the show you desire, please move your event to a larger room, or switch to a smaller show. |
|
We will provide you with an excellent show. However, the overall look and quality of any performance is greatly affected by the performance environment and conditions. It’s a “crime” to present a great show in a lousy setting. PLEASE—provide appropriate areas for the performance and the audience, because—WHEN WE LOOK GOOD—YOU LOOK GOOD! |

Please do not ask us to share the same stage with a band or deejay! That doesn’t work well at all, because we both require the entire stage for our performance and equipment, most of which must be preset. Please reserve the stage for the visual acts—those which actually NEED to be seen!
Please do not expect us to perform while the audience is dining! That is unfair to the performers as well as the audience—who would be obliged to divide their attention between eating their food and participating in the entertainment. Remember—these are interactive shows! So—by all means— let them enjoy their meal, then enjoy the show! |
